About Charles

1934 - 2024

Charles Zlatkoff was a plein air impressionist painter. His work has been exhibited in dozens of museums and galleries across the United States, England and Europe and was was included for exhibition in AmericaNow, a Look at the 70's by the United States International Communications Agency. This exhibition traveled through the Eastern Bloc countries for two years. Two solo exhibitions at the Zaplin-Lampert Gallery were followed by acquisitions of his work for the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago - Architecture, The Santa Fe Museum of Art, The New Mexico Capital Art Foundation, the Crocker Museum, and the Skirball Museum in Los Angeles. Charles lectured in art and design at UCLA, the Santa Barbara Art Institute and with the Sierra Club. He received a BA degree from the University of Illinois.
